1) I’ve tried other heel pain products, including custom orthotics. How are HTP Heel Seats different?
Likely, your first experience with custom orthotics were a bit of extra cushioning purchased from a drugstore or sporting goods store. Cushioning always provides slight relief. However, this padding cannot treat medical conditions or constant foot pain. HTP Heel Seats feature patented Fascia-Bar technology, specifically designed to treat severe heel pain, plantar fasciitis, and heel spurs. Designed by a world-famous physician over 30 years, Heel Seats realign loose or damaged plantar fascia ligaments. They use therapeutic acupressure on your heel bones, prompting your body’s natural healing processes. This means, you get both relief and long-term healing treatment.
2. How long before Heel Seats relieve my pain and start healing my feet?
Most Heel Seat customers report relief within 1-8 days of daily wear. However, plantar fasciitis is a serious condition and may require up to a year to be completely resolved. By combining daily Heel Seat wear with rest, icing, and heel stretches, you will be on the path to complete healing.
3) What will happen if I don’t treat my heel pain?
Even if your pain is intermittent, don’t ignore it: especially if you’ve been diagnosed with plantar fasciitis. Your continued untreated pain can cause debilitating pain and limping and can lower the quality in your daily life.
4) Will Heel Seats cause me any discomfort?
Some discomfort may be experienced when first wearing Heel Seats. You may experience a feeling of mild pressure or an aching sensation between the heel and the arch of the foot. This stems from the Fascia-Bar technology gently stretching the plantar fascia ligament spanning the arch of your foot and realigning it into a healthy position. These adjustments strengthen your ligament tissue and enable healing.
If you have sensitive feet, we recommend trying Gel Heel Seats as they’re a gentler version. However, those customers who reported initial pain adjusted to Fascia-Bar treatment in original Heel Seats after the first four weeks of daily use.
5) Besides Heel Seats, do you have other recommendations for my foot pain?
There are several do-it-yourself methods of pain management that are simple to combine with your Heel Seats. You can roll a frozen water bottle under your foot. Epsom salt soaks with added essentials oils, like lavender and lemongrass, can help relax your muscles. We also recommend exercising and stretching your feet and plantar fasciitis taping.
Other treatments for heel pain management include ultrasound treatment, acupuncture, massage therapy, and anti-inflammatory supplements or diets.
6) I’m interested in talking to other customers who have heel pain and about their Heel Seat use. Can I connect with them?
You bet! We have a heel pain support community on Facebook that you can join.
7) What exactly is the Fascia-Bar technology in Heel Seats?
Our patented Fascia-Bar is a revolutionary invention designed to treat Plantar Fasciitis and heel pain. Built into Heel Seats, the Fascia-Bar gently stretches and realigns the plantar fascia ligament. In a double-blind study conducted by the University of Iowa, Fascia-Bar technology was shown to be twice as effective as a leading brand product for the treatment of plantar fasciitis, a common plantar fascia ligament condition.
8) How do Heel Seats fit in my shoes?
Heel Seats easily slip in on top of your shoes’ original insoles. Designed for any pair of shoes with a full backing (no sandals!), each Heel Seat features a letter “R” for right or “L” for left for your corresponding shoe. We recommend wearing these orthotics as a pair for your body’s balance, even if you only have pain on one side.
9) Can I wear Heel Seats with custom orthotics or other shoe inserts, such as shoes cushions, arch supports, etc.?
No, doubling up on orthotics will not help and will likely cause worse damage to your feet and body. Heel Seats are meant to be worn alone in your shoes and provide full support and cushioning. It is fine to leave the insoles that came with your shoes in place, but do not add additional support beyond your Heel Seats.
10) If I only have pain in one foot, can I only wear one Heel Seat?
Heel Seats need to be worn as a pair. Wearing only one Heel Seat will throw your body off balance. Plantar fasciitis and heel spurs often only occur in one foot. It may be tempting to only use one Heel Seat, but this can inhibit your body’s biomechanical balance and healing. Not to mention, it may cause you to trip or stumble.
11) Can I move Heel Seats from shoe to shoe?
Unlike other orthotics, Heel Seats do not have adhesive components. This means you can easily lift them out and place them into the shoes you plan to wear today. For convenience, you may decide to purchase more than one pair to put in all your favorite shoes.
12) Do Heel Seats provide arch support?
Our original Heel Seats focus on treating the plantar fascia ligament and heel, not addressing arch support. That’s why we’ve developed Full Length Heel Seats for both your arch and heel health.
13) What are Heel Seats made of?
Heel Seats are constructed of sturdy, flexible Kraton. This material is a soft type of rubber with a closed cell structure to ensure inserts do not absorb any moisture, sweat, or bacteria. Additionally, Kraton’s structure and texture prevent Heel Seats from slipping or sliding in your shoes.
14) Does the Kraton’s color affect the structure?
No, you can pick any color of Heel Seats you’d like. They all work the same way.
15) What is the difference between original Heel Seats and Gel Heel Seats?
We offer Gel Heel Seats for those with very sensitive feet. Some users of the original Heel Seats found the Kraton too rigid for comfortable daily wear. While Kraton has flexibility, some customers needed extra softness in their heel pain treatment. Both the original and Gel Heel Seats feature identical treatment mechanisms, including the Fascia-Bar.
16) How often should I replace Heel Seats?
If you use Heel Seats every day, we recommend you replace them every three months. For less frequent use, you can go six months. The more active you are, the more often you’ll need to replace them. Durable Heel Seats can become worn down causing their effectiveness to wane. If your feet start hurting again, inspect your Heel Seats for signs of wear, such as reduced padding.
17) How do I clean Heel Seats?
Heel Seats are inherently hygienic and antibacterial. You will likely need to replace them due to wear-and-tear from your active lifestyle before needing to clean them. However, they are machine or hand washable with gentle detergent. Full Length Heel Seats can only be hand washed.
18) Can I return them if I’m not satisfied?
Yes, Heel Seats are 100% guaranteed. To return them, simply mail the package along with your order number, and we’ll process your refund right away. You can also call us for personalized return service.
